History: Paggen was born with his father's beautiful face. He found a children's book about a Gnome Rogue who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has achieved small success as a Spy.

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he is dressed in earthy colors with a blue and brown handkerchief worn on his left side. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. His eyes are likewise violet. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Dilettante but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. He has worked as a Dilettante like his mother before him.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Serpent enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Serpent lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
