History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He's also a talented Sailor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and balancing his hectic life and new bricklayer responsibilities is difficult
