History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. A gifted student he started as a Barrister, but he got bored and became a Shipwright. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Seven was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Herbalist they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Cartwright, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Cartwright and was forced into it by his family; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
