History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Gorfel liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Qualen is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Qualen was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He worked as a nervous Layabout and found it very stressful. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
