Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears grey painted combat armor at almost all times. His moppish chestnut hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Doctor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: An older woman who wears tattered old clothes, she is not a threatening figure. She has slicked back golden hair. Her blue eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A freak accident while working with her Beggar mother left her crippled. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She is wracked by social anxiety; and she feels threatened by others

Description: He wears a tattered pair of loose red pants, a matching torn shirt, and a visible pair of similar condition same color briefs. He has relatively dark skin and is very physically imposing due to his abundance of muscles. He has wavy silver hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Soapmaker. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Motivation: To be a Layabout again; and balancing his hectic life and new soapmaker responsibilities is difficult

Description: Runty and weak-looking, he is well dressed, constantly wearing a yellow suit, grey shirt, and tan tie. His moppish black hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His fierce violet eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Painter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and seeks redemption
