Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. After a long history of fighting, Nija and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. A gifted student she started as a Baker, but she got bored and became a Guard. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While he appears to be a normal Half-Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
