History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bryseis grew up listening to her father's many stories. A freak accident while working with her Laborer father left her crippled. During her travels, Bryseis and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bryseis discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Bryseis fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
