Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.
History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
Motivation: She has passion for adventuring and risk; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Description: She wears well tailored gowns and hats with beautiful decoration. She is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. She is bristling with hidden weapons, mostly quarterstaffs and kukris. With bright black hair. Her blue unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Meena embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Meena is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.
History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Meena grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Meena. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.
Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it.

Description: An older man who is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times, he is not a threatening figure. His brown hair is lengthy. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.
History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 2 years.
Motivation: Further expansion of business; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aelar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Gilbert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and obtaining odd cultural half-elven artifacts is his passion

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he is dressed in an above average manner. He has styled his blonde hair well, parting it to the right. He wears a mask on his face.
Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.
History: The child of a Slave Trader, who enjoyed hunting, Joser was taken on many hunting expeditions. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Banker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Joser fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: Nicor lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He's also a talented Architect, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
