History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Shautha was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Shautha's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Animal Trainer profession.

History: Born in the east to a Sellsword, Oda learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. While she appears to be a normal Gnome, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She now owns her own business.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Fax grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. After a long history of fighting, Fax and his spouse have recently divorced.
