History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her youth she was a Cartwright, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Jelenneth fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
