History: Hûra was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Miner. He has achieved small success as a Miner.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Ahrim lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Layabout, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Guard profession.

History: She got into the Fortune-teller business at a young age. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Fortune-teller.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Watson was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.
