History: Born in the east to a Dyer, Herleva learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She worked as a nervous Dyer and found it very stressful. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature whip.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. The war was a terrible time for him, and Shadow does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Shadow was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody.
