She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Roofer they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Carter, and she later adopted a second son.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Soveliss grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Soveliss. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
