History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mialee grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mialee. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Born in the east to a Banker, Gilbert learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A gifted student she started as a Shoemaker, but she got bored and became a Shepherd. She tends to her Shepherd job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
