History: She was born into a rich family. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Sora alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Jane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Scribe for hire.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and obtaining odd cultural dwarven artifacts is her passion

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. While he appears to be a normal Half-Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he wants to get laid

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Barkeep for hire.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

Personality: She is a Painter first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Spear has worked very hard to control her curse. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and further expansion of business

History: Born in the north to a Bather, Tordrid learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Dwarves in Tordrid's homeland. Tordrid decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Bather for hire.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
