History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. He now mingles about in high society.

History: Maagog was born the youngest of three triplets. A freak accident while working with his Knight father left him crippled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Map Maker born in the past three hundred years. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.
History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is a Barkeep first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.
History: Gerard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Description: This eastern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She dresses in pastel turtlenecks beneath a tan coat with brown slacks. She has moderate length orange fur. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Emerald will drive conversation. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. After months of barely getting by, Emerald managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.
Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

Personality: Xappan hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.
History: The child of a Roofer, who enjoyed hunting, Xappan was taken on many hunting expeditions. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
