Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Vani is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: The child of a Brewer, who enjoyed hunting, Vani was taken on many hunting expeditions. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Born to a Sailor, her father struggled to pay the bills. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He tends to his Courier job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
