Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Mara embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Mara was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Gnomish companion (her 'brother'). She has dedicated herself to building a better world.

Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Mella fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
