He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Bertram was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Through the years after Sekhmet was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Sekhmet's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
