History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Akta grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Akta. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Chay reached his early adolescence his Halfling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Dharg fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born into a rich family. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Melech was born the youngest of three triplets. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and she seems to be bored by most things

She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

History: Born in the west to a Performer, Mialee learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
