History: Xappan hails from a village terrorized by drow. History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
