Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has achieved small success as a Hunter.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Tomph was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has worked as a Beggar like her mother before her.

Personality: She is envious of other's things. She hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that she so desires. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she is greedy

Description: A middle-aged woman, she is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior, and is pretty ugly. Her hair is cut close to her head. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Hunter born in the past three hundred years. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: Marigold was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She has taken up work as a Hunter and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Biri lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.
