Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Matilda embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.
History: The child of a Guard, who enjoyed hunting, Matilda was taken on many hunting expeditions. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. After a long history of fighting, Matilda and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She is fixated on the number 6. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She seeks to pay back kindness whenever she gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip she always seeks to do solids for her friends.
History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Description: He is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of his physical features obscured. His chestnut hair is knotted and matted. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. Habor is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he tends to wear a violet poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. His long white hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His violet eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.
History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after Paelias was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Paelias's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and to share knowledge with the world

Description: She has a large red mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into her black robe, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 2'11" when asserting herself. Her chestnut hair is cut short. Her otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.
Personality: While she is on the job, she is grim and serious. She understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.
History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. Portia was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Portia decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

Description: This woman very much looks the part of a Navigator. She has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized sapphire on her left hand. She has black hair. She has several tiny sapphire earrings on each ear.
Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Dwarf in existence. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.
History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Navigator work with an outfit from a few towns over. Navigator work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She tends to her Navigator job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Navigator responsibilities is difficult.

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His hair is black and curly. His face is scarred and worn.
Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.
History: He was raised in a island tribe. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Nazdûg took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up spear and armor he uses now. He bought a spear and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
Motivation: He's in love; and to end his boredom

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.
History: Born in the south to a Dyer, Ekemon learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Through the years after Ekemon was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Ekemon's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Dyer for the past few years.
