History: Jak hails from a village terrorized by drow. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
