History: Katherine was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world; and a deep hatred of giants

He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
