Murook decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Laborer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and doesn't want to be a architect and was forced into it by his family

When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Human Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
