Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins. Astaro was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the goblins.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and wants to open a new tavern

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. Gorfel is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Windy grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
