History: Heian was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many drow want him driven away; and someone believes him a fraud

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and wants to open a new tavern

She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
