His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and a deep hatred of orcs

History: The child of a Fletcher, who enjoyed hunting, Akmen was taken on many hunting expeditions. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now mingles about in high society.
