History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Xanaphia alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Balam was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A freak accident while working with his Healer father left him crippled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Healer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Marshal, and he later adopted a second son.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He found a children's book about a Dwarf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
