The war was a terrible time for him, and Shadow does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. She now owns her own business.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He takes great joy in being the best Navigator in town.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. Being a Navigator kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She moved out east to avoid the crime she committed. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed.
