Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She was granted arcane powers by her dying brother.
