History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in greataxe use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
