She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: Elama was raised in a hard working conservative environment. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She tends to her Navigator job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. The war was a terrible time for her, and Bethrynna does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Bethrynna was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Bethrynna and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and she loathes her own lifestyle

She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Gnome in existence. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. Randal enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He is greedy.

He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
