History: Katherine was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Chad's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
