History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: Alexandre lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ulla embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Ulla never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
