History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has never given up on his painting dream.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Cook they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Painter, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gorbundus does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gifted student he started as a Bather, but he got bored and became a Bricklayer. He has achieved small success as a Bricklayer.

Personality: He hates brigands. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He takes great joy in being the best Carter in town.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carter. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Carter for hire.
