History: Born in the east to a Servant, Therlin learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Servant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Servant work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Navigator. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Conrad grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Conrad. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Barrister and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: Right-Handed was born the youngest of three triplets. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
