His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Aldous is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Griselda grew up listening to her father's many stories. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Map Maker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Description: This man is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing green cape and mantle trimmed with soft white waves gently in the breeze. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. His top hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Maiathah was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Orc conditions. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She would like to get married and retire.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. While he appears to be a normal Half-Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
