History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Akta was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
