History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: She got into the Guard business at a young age. Her childhood dream was to be a Bookbinder, but she was a colossal failure. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Guard responsibilities is difficult; and further expansion of business

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He is mildly Half-Elf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he feels threatened by others

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She worked as a nervous Mercenary and found it very stressful. She tends to her Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
