History: Naivara lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Tailor and was forced into it by her family.

History: She was born in the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. After a long history of fighting, Emeny and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and revenge

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. She is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Hrathy grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hrathy. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and a rival would like her out of the picture

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and seeks redemption

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Ostracized due to the divine powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC.
