History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and doesn't want to be a stableman and was forced into it by her family

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He is content.

History: Born in the north to a Marshal, Tomi learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Marshal for hire.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
