History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. During his travels, Curran and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Curran discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Curran fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: She was born in a small plains village. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
