History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

She found a children's book about a Dragonborn Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His childhood dream was to be a Stableman, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Stableman, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Ilanis hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the north were limited. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it
