When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Layabout hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. His hair is silver and curly. His half smiles and green eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. Heian enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Heian was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Heian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Heian. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alberich grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She takes great joy in being the best Miller in town.

History: Jillian was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She's also a talented Detective, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
