History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rohesia was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Scribe arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She was born into a rich family. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Susannah's homeland. Susannah decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She is wracked by social anxiety.

Personality: This woman loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. She invites people to come help in her community garden.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Baker, but he got bored and became a Detective. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and expand his business

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has worked as a Layabout like her father before her.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and expand her business
