History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger brother on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
