History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Doctor. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Pelaios alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Description: He is an attractive man, lean and moderately muscular. He is dressed in earthy colors with a black and pastel handkerchief worn on his right side. He has wavy golden hair. His skin is flawless and his brown eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He became a Map Maker soon after.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Map Maker responsibilities is difficult; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Valafar lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Blacksmith, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
