Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Aline began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Aline was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.
